We have finally made it to the classroom! Our placement at Kelvin Grove State College has been amazing over this first week; we are all over the school in different classrooms, but really getting an awesome experience.
Darby is up on the senior school and the rest of us are in the junior school! Kassie and I got palced togther in a year 4 class and love it so much. The kids are so curious about life in Canada and love to ask questions, and include us in all of their activities. They even got us involved in their Italian project!
Overall, it has been really cool to see the similarities and differences between the education styles here in Australia and back home. I have loved to see all of the routines that have been established throughout the year. As we are observing Term 4, the final term of their school year, the students are very comfrotable with the routines and ways of being in their classrooms. It has been super helpful to take notes of these mangement strategies and start to brainstrom my own classroom management routines!
I am really excited to continue in the classroom over the next two weeks!
