I can’t believe it’s already been a month in Australia.
Last week we traveled to Cairnes and we got to explore the Great Barrier Reef and some of the best waterfalls in Northern Australia. One of my biggest takeaways from exploring this beautiful country: download the app GetYourGuide and don’t be afraid to book some excursions. Lots of the people who book these excursions are also solo travellers and are super open to meeting new people and making friends; and they’re also most likely Irish!
Another tip for travelling throughout Australia: JETSTAR! Jetstar has been our go-to airline and we’ve had smooth journeys every time. Highly recommend!
Getting the hang of public transit within the cities has been difficult at times but I finally feel more confident getting to and from different places. If you’re reading this and you’re concerned about public transit, don’t be, I just happen to be directionally challenged and my only outlet is to complain about it.
All in all, Australia has been absolutely amazing so far and I couldn’t be more grateful for this experience.
