Hi everyone!
My last most notable activity in Scotland was running through traffic to catch my cap after the winds of Storm Amy hit. I got it back though, natural selection can’t catch me or my cap. I had booked a boat tour last week to see the three bridges in Edinburgh as well as Blackness Castle; I caught wind (haha) of Storm Amy on the train to Edinburgh but decided that I was more knowledgeable than the meteorologists and that I should definitely be on a boat during that time. It was absolutely worth it without a doubt.
Luckily I was able to train to St. Andrews the next day even with the railway closures due to the storm. St. Andrews was holding a tournament on the Old Course and I was able to watch a bit of it but it’s difficult to view the course without booking a walking tour. Then I carried on to St. Andrews castle, cathedral, and university. It’s such a beautiful town, the beaches there are amazing as well.
I have finally received my PVG so my first day at the school will be tomorrow! I’m very excited to see what the high school visual arts program looks like here, and also very excited to be involved in the student’s creative processes.
Until next week,
Jaleesa
