    Our last G’day mates! (From Canada this time) Looking back on our two months in Australia, it’s hard to believe how much we experienced and learned together. When we first met, the five of us barely knew each other, two studying secondary education and three in primary. Suddenly, we were living together on the other side of the world, trying to plan trips, manage coursework, and figure out daily life in a new country. Not everything went smoothly.   • Sunshine, School, and Sweet Treats
    G’day again, mates! The past two weeks have been filled with sunshine, school days, and lots of exploring! Here’s a little glimpse into what we’ve been up to lately: As we start to take in the last couple of weeks we have left, we’re feeling extra grateful for this experience and all the new friendships we’ve made along the way.     G’day mates! The last two weeks have been filled with many adventures for us as it is there spring break here in Australia! Here are some highlights and insights! 1. Through our partner University we had the opportunity to go visit the Queensland Museum where we learned about Australia’s impact on aviation, their military history, their native animals, along with some Indigenous culture.2. We did a week long road trip through the South Island of New Zealand, starting in Queenstown and stopping in Wanaka, Lake Tekapo, and Christchurch.3.   • Final post in Canada!
    Travelling from experiencing highs of +30°C to lows of -3°C was tough! However, I’m happy to be back in my own bed. While I’m excited to be in the comfort of my home, it’s bittersweet to leave Australia’s beautiful beaches, nature, and cities, as well as the students I met during my placement there. I’m very thankful for the experience I gained over my two months abroad, and I plan to focus on how I can implement the learning strategies I observed in my field experiences.
