こんにちは from Hokkaido!

The first 2 weeks in Sapporo have flown by so quickly! On the first day we had a City Tour led by two wonderful students of HUE(Kyoikudai) who gave great recommendations for food and attractions. We had a seminar about the Japanese school system and Japanese lessons. The second week was followed by school visits to two elementary schools where we were able to interact with grade 5 & 6 students during their “Let’s Talk Activity.” Students had so much energy and were so excited to have us in their school that it made me feel like a famous idol.
School culture is different from Canada in the way that there is a greater respect and expectation for school tidiness. It was really interesting to see the entire school work together to clean up after lunch. Also the windows in the school are HUGE! There is so much more I’d love to share but this post would then become a 5 page essay. Until next time, またね!
