As I’m writing this, I am down to my last week in Scotland. I can’t believe how quickly this experience has gone by. Since my last post, I have tried to check the last few things off my bucket list. During my placement’s fall break, I decided to take the opportunity to visit Inverness and Isle of Skye. As always, I was stunned by the views and the architecture. On the bus tour to Isle of Skye, we took a few stops including Eilean Donan Castle and the Fairy Pools. The weather was amazing that day, walking through the Highlands to get to the Fairy Pools with the sun shining and no rain was incredibly lucky considering how the weather has been recently.
It will be difficult to say goodbye to such a beautiful place and to the school I have been volunteering in, but I am looking forward to seeing my family and being back in my own home.
